DAiry Lane

Our brief was to bring colour and subtle pattern to the interior of this renovated farm building, near Marden in Kent. We used careful detailing with fine textiles with elegant borders, stripes and contrast piping to work alongside the original furnishings.

We created bespoke curtains and blinds throughout this spacious, newly renovated home. Our brief included furnishings for the drawing room, kitchen, boot room and guest room, which was a challenge we relished.

The drawing room is framed by nine sets of full-length windows . We worked with the garden view and flow of light ensuring the window dressings worked harmoniously with the backdrop. Choosing a luxuriously thick fabric edged with the deep contrasting boarder balanced the proportions of the window.

Glorious mustard yellow runs through the ground floor from the drawing room to the boot room.

Tying in our client’s love of pattern and texture was a joy. We used fabrics from textile houses Robert Allen and Romo. In the guest room we made a fully interlined roman blind with sand thick cotton fabric edged with admiral blue trim. In the kitchen we introduced a zippy stripe to marry the marble work tops and hand painted oak cabinetry.
