MILL STREET interior refresh

Our work in this Victorian terrace evolved as we dovetailed with a room-by-room refresh over three floors. We were able to welcome in glorious colours and fabrics from favourite textile makers that gave the family home a lovely finesse.

The project commenced as the kitchen renovations began - we secured the colour scheme right from the start, which was a joy. We then proceeded through the four bedrooms working with the beautiful sash windows.

made to measure curtains and blinds

Navy blue, bright pinks and touches of brass work together beautifully in the kitchen. We used local designer Molly Mahon’s Spot and Star fabric alongside the Romo Linara fabric for the curtains and blind. We worked carefully to welcome in the natural light from the full length windows by day and bring an opulence and cosiness by night.

full length curtains

We created full length curtains, a roman blind and most importantly a cosy bed under the breakfast bar for a little friend.

I am very, very lazy. I love to sit in a chair and look out of the window and do nothing.”

colourful fabric blind

Here, with a view over the garden we created a blind and single curtain to frame the window and view. Starting with re-purposed fabric from the owner’s previous house, we made a new blind with pom-pom trim and edged the curtains with the verdant Manuel Canovas Peony fabric.

At W&B we believe that luxury is in each detail from the contrasting borders to the discreet headrail covers {that carefully hide the unsightly mechanics of the blinds}.

We especially love how fabrics have the power to express so much - here the sense of adventure with the eye-catching skiers is a favourite.
