MEAD HOUSE interior design kent
With major renovations complete, our client approached us with a clear brief. We anchored our work with pivotal pieces of furniture along with their love of bold colour, pattern and artwork along with the flood of natural light.
Our commission began in the drawing room, working through the hallway to the kitchen bringing a welcoming, harmonious flow. Then we explored rich, plush textiles in the master bedroom and vivid geometrics in the children’s rooms.
Bespoke Blinds
Our assignment in the drawing room enabled us to give glory to this tete-a-tete velvet sofa by re-configuring our clients’s existing large linen curtains - first into a pair of relaxed blinds for this elegant, square bay and then into curtains for the garden view which gently break on the floor.
Custom Fabric Blinds
Below, in the kitchen we worked with a sleek fabric from Anthology to bringing together the newly painted cabinetry, dark granite worktops and chrome handles.
Made to measure Curtains
In the master bedroom the opulent and bold Designers Guild velvet carefully unite the navy blue wall behind the bed, alongside grey walls and wooden floor. We created full-length triple pinch pleat curtains and gorgeous velvet cushions and bolsters with the finest piping.
beautiful roman blinds
Below is a pair of bedroom roman blinds in a weave we love by the esteemed textile designer Margo Selby for Osborne & Little. There is such vivacity in the colours creating an ageless scheme.
fabulous geometric bespoke curtains
And finally, in the youngest family member’s bedroom, we brought in a fabulous geometric pattern from Scion. It’s stunning against the neutral walls - we created curtains and a roman blind which give a glorious colour palette to draw on in the years ahead. The pelmet was added a few months later and really helps unite the colours used in the room.
